課堂經歷
This class listing is for a private electronic keyboard or piano lesson. There will be one student present in each session. These classes are recommended for beginner players, intermediate players, or advanced players who are looking to develop new skills and further their technique. During private lessons, we focus on building up the individual learner's goals, skills, and interests. During classes, topics we may work on include, but are not limited to reading rhythmic, melodic, or harmonic notation; playing chord progressions; how to use pre-programmed accompaniment tracks; fingering techniques; creating harmonic progressions; reading lead sheets; and creating melodies. Students will also be supported in developing appropriate playing position and independence. - Week of March 1: What's a chord progression? Watch how you can use one to play a song! - Week of March 8: White keys and Black keys: Why are they set up in this pattern and how can I use this to make playing easier? - Week of March 15: Making Up Melodies for Keyboards: How to Write your OWN Tune for the Piano or Keyboard - Week Week of March 22: The Grand Staff: The PERFECT Fit for Notes Played on PIanos and Electronic Keyboards PARENTS: - Please be certain your learner has access to the instrument DURING class. - Please make sure your leaner knows how to mute/unmute in Zoom so that s/he can immediately try any idea presented in class or ask questions as needed - If your learner is using an electronic keyboard, please be certain that there is sufficient battery power or (preferred) the keyboard's power supply is plugged into the wall. - Students will need Piano Adventures theory, performance, and lesson books. 供應清單
Students will need Piano Adventures theory, performance, and lesson books. People contact the instructor for information about which level books to purchase. You can browse all levels of Piano Adventures books at this link: https://pianoadventures.com/browse/libraries/piano-adventures/ Each student should have ready access to a piano or an electronic musical keyboard. The camera/device should be placed in such a manner as to allow the teacher visual of both the student and both hands. In the case of an electronic musical keyboard, there should also be a way for the student to show the teacher the button features. A parent may assist younger students with this, when and if needed. An alternative would be to provide the instructor with the make and model of the instrument so that she can try to find an image or map of the instrument's specific features.

I have a Bachelor of Music from Westminster Choir College and a Master of Arts from the College of Education at the University of South Florida. I like to employ a variety of learning activities, including movement, singing, and games. I've been lucky to live in many different states in the U.S.A. with my husband and our three sons. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy reading, knitting, and studying Tae Kwon Do. I look forward to meeting you in the classroom!
