Please be aware that in order to use the software we will be talking about in this class, students will need a device that has a Windows, Mac, or Linux operating systems. Students do not need to attend this class on one of these devices, but when they are ready to practicing recording, the program listed in the materials section will only be able to be downloaded on one of the devices mentioned above.

In this class I will demonstrate how to set up recording software by showing how to record your computer screen, face cam, and audio options at the same time. For students that do not want to show their face, they can just practice connecting the screen and audio. 

If a student is able to have the program up and ready so they can follow along during class, I would highly suggest a parent to be next to them so they can help them with the process off camera. I would also recommend attending the class on a separate device so they can easily watch the class on one device and follow the instructions for the software on another device. 

I will be using a Windows computer for this demonstration. If your child has an apple product, they are still more than welcome to attend if they feel they can transfer the skills they learned to their apple device.
