- Master Basic Operations: Ensure a solid grasp of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of algebraic expressions.
- Work with Integers and Rational Numbers: Develop a strong understanding of operations with integers and rational numbers.
- Learn to solve linear equations and inequalities, including multi-step and variable equations.
- Word Problems: Improve skills in translating word problems into algebraic equations and solving them.
- Understand the concepts of polynomials, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and factoring.
- Learn about functions, how to graph them, and interpret various types of graphs.
- Systems of Equations: Solve systems of linear equations using different methods (graphing, substitution, and elimination).
I am a credentialed Math teacher and have tutored or taught math for over 25 years, including Math 7, Math 8, PreAlgebra, Algebra, Geometry and Algebra 2. I got my bachelor's degree in Secondary Education of Mathematics and have my cleared credential for teaching high school math. I have taught online math for over 8 years. I have a passion for helping make math simple for learners.
Homework
頻率: 包括回饋: 包括細節: Problems from "Problem Set" in Saxon Math will be encouraged as homework. "Practice" - We will complete the practice problems together during class each week. The "Practice" covers the material from the Lesson. I will teach concepts from the lesson and we will work on the practice problems together to get a better understanding of those concepts. "Problem Set" - Learners should complete at least odd problems for homework. Saxon scaffolds upon previous lessons, so completing these problems is important. Learners or guardians should check the answers in the "Solutions Book".Letter Grade
