Each session learners will be transported to another time and place where they will be active participants and detectives, having been shown a mystery object they will be challenged to recognise it in a story. Their period appropriate costumed storyteller will guide learners as they listen and engage with an interactive story. I am an archaeologist, storyteller and reenactor, with experience telling stories and facilitating object handing and use for education and families in museums, schools, public venues and online. I find that stories open windows into the past making it accessible for learners. Furthermore, I believe that seeing an object held and manipulated allows learners to appreciate, connect and understand the complexity of the people who created them more fully.
No materials are needed for this session, if learners would like to bring a toy to join them they are welcome.
