Throughout 4 weeks, students will become familiar with summarizing reference material in their own words utilizing outlines and stylistic techniques to add interest to their writing. I am an IEW Registered Instructor and have taught several IEW-related courses over the past 10 years in person. I am excited to bring these classes to the online environment. I find that students are challenged, engaged, and learn to enjoy playing with their writing.
Please bring paper and a writing utensil to class. I will post homework after class each week in a pdf format. We are NOT using purchased curriculum from IEW, as required in some of my thematic classes. As a Registered Instructor for IEW, I have been trained in the instruction of the units presented in the Teaching with Style and Structure Manual.
