There is no assigned homework. Students are welcome to take their paragraphs and continue to write about them throughout the week. They are welcome to share any parts of their stories in the classroom as well. My hope is that students will use the classroom throughout the week to read each other's work and comment in support of one another's stories and creativity.評估
Hopefully students will be open to sharing and receiving constructive praise from their peers. It is always wonderful to see a student take what has been said in class and apply that to the writing process. Over time, students' writing should become longer, stronger, clearer, and more focused. This is a hands on class designed to get students excited about writing. Students will be asked to fill in a blank in multiple sentences based on a silly prompt or idea. I type the sentences in the chat box so all of the words are spelled correctly for them and easy to copy down on paper. I also encourage students to share their sentences with their classmates either out loud or in the chat box. They are also always welcome to share their stories in the Classroom after the half an hour class is over. The paragraphs typically range from 8 to 10 sentences and will have one, two, or three blanks to fill in per sentence. The goal is to get the students to be as creative as possible while still writing a story that makes sense. The stories can sometimes be silly! I want the students to have fun writing and look forward to the process, too. This is an ongoing class that will last as long as there is student interest. There is no start or stop date. Outschool charges credit cards on file every Sunday. If you would cancel your subscription before Sunday, you will not be charged for the following week.

The students will practice writing simple sentences. We will work on connecting the sentences into a short paragraph that may just be the start of a story the student would like to continue working on outside of class.

Writing prompts and critique-style discussion classes are something I have participated in many times over the years, and I am excited that some of my students have shown an interest in having a more hands-on, active class like this.
