What will be taught: Students learn how to get a reader's attention with a strong lead and a good ending. Students learn how lead begins in a writing. Students learn how it is important idea is often stated in the lead. Students learn how ending finishes a piece of writing and sums up the writing or states the main idea again. Students will understand why it is important to grab the reader's interest at the start of the writing. How will the lesson be taught: Students will engage in writing activities, and doc cam will be used for the lesson which will include discussion. Great for students who love writing, want to improve, or just starting out with writing.

Parental guidance is helpful in case of technical difficulty or help for logging on to the zoom. Students do not need any expensive toys, furnishings or other items. They do need well designed space that is safe for the student to do activities/projects. Parental guidance is necessary incase student needs help with an activity with guidance. Such as gluing, cutting with scissors etc. There are no third party websites that will be used for each week for the lessons or signing in for accounts.
