My classes cover various aspects of worldbuilding, including geography, culture, religion, and governance, and how to seamlessly integrate these elements into compelling stories.
Professional Background: I hold a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree and have extensive experience teaching English language learners across different age groups and cultural backgrounds. My teaching career has taken me around the world, allowing me to gather diverse perspectives and innovative teaching methods that I bring into my classroom. I hold current state teaching certifications in Georgia and Missouri.
Teaching Philosophy: I believe in the power of creativity and imagination in education. My goal is to provide a supportive and engaging environment where students feel inspired to express their ideas and develop their unique storytelling voice. I emphasize critical thinking, collaboration, and the importance of understanding different worldviews to create well-rounded and believable fictional worlds.
