課堂經歷

英語程度 - 未知
美國 Kindergarten - 3 年級
Whether your learner loves to write or resents it, they will have a blast with this class! In this class, I will share my screen and bring up a word document. Each week, a surprise writing prompt will be provided. The students will contribute to writing a new short story each week! That’s right! We will write a short story, together, in real time! As we will be writing a new short story each week with a surprise prompt, this class is perfect to drop in whenever you'd like! Therefore this class is learner-directed.

I ask that each student provide one to four sentences per turn. To simplify the process, I will be their personal transcriptionist! With me typing for them, they can relax like how some professional authors do by telling the story to their personal transcriptionist who types it for them. The top of the document will have everybody’s name, color coded, prior to class starting. Student's contributions to the story will be easily kept track of (due to the colors!), making our story a work of art in more than one way! At the end of class, I will post that week’s masterpiece in the classroom for all to access and keep if they'd like.

I want every student to feel heard, appreciated, supported, and congratulated in the making of our story. My goal is for my young aspiring writers to leave class with a sense of accomplishment, confidence, acceptance, and the created story as their trophy held high in their hand (should they choose to print it of course!). This will build confidence and deliver well-earned pride for their efforts, comradeship, and inclusion.

My goal for our collaborative writing is to help fellow writers with writer’s block, as well as help those more reluctant to write find the fun in it! While each class does kick off with a surprise writing prompt, what follows next is meant to be sporadic, funny, thrilling, and leaving the readers (and writers!) to wonder what’s next! By allowing each student to contribute THEIR writer’s voice inside them, it allows the students to sample different writing styles, ideas, and exposes them to different perspectives to a story. This atmosphere will be perfect for each to walk away more inspired to write their own story as well as think more openly with their future writing assignments.

As an introvert writer myself, I can’t express how much I initially did NOT look forward to this assignment in college… Once I started it however, it was hands down one of the most lively, fun, and innovative writing assignments that broke me free of my current writer’s block and left me with a thirst to write more! It’s also an all-around brilliant method that encourages a child to be themselves as well as feel accepted and included for their individuality. As their personal transcriptionist, their creativity will NOT be restricted by grammar or spelling weaknesses. I will rapidly assist as needed to ensure their idea is included in the story so that they can shine at their brightest potential!

Classroom Rules:

•	Students provide 1-4 sentences per turn.
•	As this class age range is 5–9-year-old, I keep it as PG as possible. I do not encourage death or killing. There are many ways in which scenes that include those things can be written, such as saying the bad guy was “defeated” or “fell into a black hole,” etc.
•	You will be muted until it’s your turn. This is done so that I can correctly hear and transcribe when a student is speaking. If it is not your turn, please respect whose turn it is by allowing them time to think and share their ideas. If a person wants input from their fellow writers, then everyone can unmute themselves to give suggestions.
•	If we have time in the end, you’re welcome to share one item with the rest of class (toy, book, etc.)

學習目標

Students will learn to unite as a team, while each experiencing individualized time when it's their turn to lead the story. They will inspire others, be inspired by others, build confidence, boost creativity, and raise both their intrinsic and extrinsic motivation to write.

Hello my lovely learners! My name is Teacher Tasha and I've been an American homeschooling mother and online educator for many years!

I hold a bachelors of science in psychology, a 160 hour TEFL certificate, and I'm currently obtaining 2 graphic design certificates. Along my educational journey I took many extra courses, aside from my major, such as geology, reading, and special education classes.

I have many interests to share! I love animals, earth science, writing, storytelling, arts & crafts, and cake decorating! I love encouraging others in their passions as well as introducing them to new ones!!!
