In this ongoing class, students will learn one grammar concept per class and will learn to write a well-written paragraph. Students will write simple, compound, complex, and compound-complex sentences in this class. This class meets once a week. - In this class, students will analyze a well-written paragraph. They will identify the grammar concepts in the paragraph, the structure of the paragraph, and the style of the paragraph. Students will use this paragraph as an example and will write their own well-written paragraph.
I have taught in an elementary school for fourteen years. Many students struggle to write a good quality paragraph. It is important that students understand how to write great paragraphs so they can continue progressing in their writing skills. This class uses a research-based strategy to help students learn how to write a great paragraph.
Students will need the following materials for each class: - Weekly Packet (This will be posted in our classroom before each class.) - Pencil - Crayons or Highlighters
