課堂經歷
It’s gardening season! The spring is a wonderful time to get out in nature with our children and dig in the dirt. One fantastic way to do this is by making a worm farm! Why worms? Worms help to increase the amount of air and water that gets into the soil by aerating it when they dig their tunnels. In this class, students will watch hands-on demonstrations as we learn about worms together and how to create simple worm farms at home. The wiggly, squirmy, and sort of gross worms that I use will have equals squeals and fun for kids.
學習目標
Students will gain an understanding of why worms are so great for the garden and earth.
其他詳情
父母的引導和規範
We will talk about worm "poop" but in a totally scientific and appropriate way.
供應清單
I will provide an ingredient list for creating a worm farm before class. Students do not need to have this on hand for class, although they may want to create the farm with me live.

I love being in the garden and helping kids learn about digging in the dirt. Introducing students to worms and how to create a worm farm at home with materials you can find in the house is always rewarding.
