This is it! Outschool's original ongoing Country Studies class. Every week, we will study the physical and human geography of one country, with an emphasis on physical geography. Students will gain a better understanding of the geography, culture, economics, history, governments, etc. of countries all over the world. The study of Geography has so much to offer. I would like to share what a recent US president said about studying Geography..... "The study of geography is about more than just memorizing places on a map. It's about understanding the complexity of our world, appreciating the diversity of cultures that exists across continents. And in the end, it's about using all that knowledge to help bridge divides and bring people together." I can not agree more with these statements.

Pencil Eraser Ruler Medium-sized black marker Fat Highlighter Some colored pencils - Just a few will do. Students will need access to a printer so they may print out the PDF maps I send them. These maps should be printed out before camp meetings so that they may be used during camp. Sometimes we might use more than one map.... it all depends on the country.

I create all my lessons on Nearpod. The learners will be given a link to the Nearpod lesson at the beginning of each class. Learners should be familiar with splitting their screen, where Zoom will be on one side of the screen and the Nearpod lesson will be on the other side of the screen. This skill is not difficult to learn. If this is an unfamiliar skill for the learner, the parent may wish to assist the learner for the first lesson or two. Instead of splitting their screens, some learners choose to use two devices, which is ideal.
