Artistic wizard campers will meet for three days to do drawing and painting projects to design their magical world. **What landmarks and landforms will be on the map in your magical landscape? We will create a map that reveals fun landmarks through pencils, markers, and watercolor resist. ** What flavor will your elixir (juicy potion) be so you can have the strength and energy you will need? Is it fizzy or creamy? What kind of powers will it give you? We will whip up a refreshing elixir to...
My goal is for artists to tap deep into their magical imagination and create colorful artwork centered around a wizarding theme.
I graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts degree in visual arts. I have taught K-12 graders for the last 13 years in a variety of subjects, including a monthly art program that focused on art elements and the art masters. I enjoy teaching simple concepts that allow my students to share their ideas freely and express themselves in new ways. I love teaching with themes and special topics. I hope these art projects will inspire budding wizards and wizarding fans to create thematic art and bring their imaginative ideas to life.

Wizards will need: Mixed media art paper (any paper that can handle paint!) Printer paper Pencil Eraser Colored pencils Markers (including thin and thick black markers like a Sharpie) Oil pastels Crayons Watercolors Acrylic or tempera paints optional (I will confirm if needed later) Cups/brushes/old towel Small posterboard *Information about the ingredients for elixirs will be provided upon enrollment ** Please set up an art kit for camp before it starts so this is available each day. Artists should have all the supplies together and we can start right away. During the course of the camp they will need:
