Welcome to Mrs. D's Art Room where it is always a good day when you are learning something new. 

Kids always want to add some fun stuff to their drawings, but they don't realize what they can learn through that. So, I specially design these projects to have some fun while learning. They will learn new things with each project!

April 14th: Collage Crab - Collage Painting (recycling art) while learning step by step crab drawing
We will draw a step-by-step crab drawing mostly using basic shapes and use small, ripped magazine paper to make a beautiful collage painting of a crab.

April 15th: Feathery Fish - Using feathers to add texture and dimension 
We will draw a cute fish using simple easy-to-follow step-by-step instructions and color it with crayons by using the line coloring technique and sticking colorful feathers to show the feathery tail and fins.

April 16th: Googly Eye Octopus - a fun way of using Q-tips for coloring and steps to draw an octopus
We will draw our cartoon-style octopus by using step-by-step instruction and color it using acrylic paints and Q-tips to make a dot design on his body. Finally, we'll stick googly eyes and draw a smile to make the drawing super cute.

April 17th: Smiling Shark - We will use color pencils or crayons for mixing and shading colors and drawing a shark using easy-to-follow steps. We will draw the kids' all-time favorite shark, which is not scary but saying cheese with his sharp teeth. 

April 18th: Playing Dolphin - We will learn a jumping dolphin, a water splash, and how to paint clouds with acrylic paints.
In this project, we will learn to draw a dolphin playing with a ball by using easy steps. We will use acrylic paints to paint water splash and white clouds.

We will talk all about sea creatures, learn fun facts, ask questions, and be creative with the drawing. I can't wait to see your child in my class!

Students will be encouraged to socialize and share their artwork although it is not required. Students will also be encouraged to make their artwork unique and complete their art independently if they are not finished in class. 
I pace our class based on the students' abilities, so we will go slower or faster depending on how everyone is doing. 

No experience is needed for this class; learners will follow directions.
