Did you know that there are about 36 species of wild cats in the world? Learners will become familiar with the classification of different groups of wildcats, their habitats, and food webs. The differences between domestic and wild animals will be discussed while meeting a live pet cat. Ms. Amalia will facilitate crafts, games, and discussions while looking at photo slideshows, listening to the sounds wild cats make, and sharing her adventures of traveling and searching for wild cats around...
Students will learn where in the world wild cat species live and how to identify them while also discussing the differences between domestic and wild animals.
I am teaching this class because I am enthusiastic about sharing my passion for wildlife with students and have been lucky enough to see many wild cat species in the wild. I have a master's degree in Ecological Leadership and Education with an undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies.
Optional craft projects will be provided for before, during, or after class. Please check the classroom for detailed instructions about each project. Print-outs will be attached to classroom posts.
