In this class, learners will utilize their Pokémon knowledge to participate in a mystery game in which they have to ask yes or no questions and use critical thinking skills to guess the mystery Pokémon that are joining our class! Students will also: Ask questions Answer questions Listen carefully Take notes Take turns Revise their thinking Use specific vocabulary Recall knowledge of facts Refer to a text for reference All while having fun talking about Pokémon! This class will follow a similar format to guessing style board games. Students will also have a chance to field questions for a mystery Pokémon they have with them!

Students will practice important communication skills along with peer interaction. Students will take turns, use specific adjectives and Pokemon terminology and use critical thinking all while having fun!

Learners can have any level of Pokemon knowledge. All fans are welcome!

For the meeting: Mystery Pokemon (concealed), optional notepad and pen/pencil for taking notes while we guess the Mystery Pokemon Prior to our meeting: Children will also need to prepare a Mystery Pokemon of their own. They can use a figure, card, drawing or printed picture of their selected Pokemon. They should conceal it in a brown lunch bag or envelope. When it is their turn to have their Pokemon be "guessed" they will need to be prepared to answer yes or no questions about their Pokemon from the other students. Some categories your learner should be familiar with in order to be prepared asking and answering questions: Type Category Abilities Weight Gender Weaknesses Evolutions Physical Traits Other noteable characteristics
