課堂經歷
On November 24, 1971, the day before Thanksgiving, a man calling himself Dan Cooper bought a $20 ticket for the flight from Portland to Seattle. Shortly after takeoff, he passed a note to a crew member stating that he had a bomb. After he received the requested $200,000, 4 parachutes, and a flight to Mexico, he jumped off the plane - in the middle of the night and in the middle of a thunderstorm - to never be seen again. In this class, we will explore the unique circumstances that allowed this event to occur (lack of security and technology), what evidence has been collected, why people have been obsessed with this case for over 50 years, and why he became a pop culture icon. Learners will be able to form their own theories as to what happened to the man who became known as D. B. Cooper.
