This class is suitable for beginning to intermediate readers. Students will be introduced to quotation marks in writing. The class will focus on the proper use of quotation marks to show dialogue, and the corresponding rules for proper punctuation and capitalization in quotations. Looking at written examples, students will learn to identify which words are spoken (the quotation) and who spoke them (the attribution). Then we will take a look at some dialogue examples and fill in the needed...
Students will understand how quotation marks are used. They will understand how to use quotation marks properly in their own writing.
