課堂經歷
Do you love chocolate? If so, this class is for you! We will go on a virtual field trip to Central America to see how chocolate is grown, aged, and processed into the delicious treat that we all love. Videos will show the teacher participating in the chocolate making process in Central America. You will learn why cocao trees are grown where they are, the climate it takes to grow them, how the nibs are aged, cooked, ground, and the recipe for basic dark chocolate. Also included in the class are the history of chocolate, the medicinal uses of different parts of the cocao plant and the kinds of chocolate (dark, milk and white) and what makes them different. This class is intended for learners with little to no prior instruction about chocolate history and processing. Everything you wanted to know about chocolate will be demonstrated in this class. Come and join us, and bring some chocolate!
