縫製什麼？ 2 修補與包邊簡介 (14-18)

Sewing is a basic life-skill that is useful to anyone and everyone. From mending ripped clothing or toys, to creating garments and costumes, sewing is a multi-use skill that for most will see life-long application and for some may even become a profession. In this beginner level sewing class, students will be introduced to hemming and mending of both garments and other household items. We will practice the practical applications of basic sewing skills throughout the class both by practicing simulated tears on the embroidery hoop and mending actual clothing. This class presupposes some basic level knowledge (how to thread a needle and basic stitching skills), if your child still needs to learn these skills, consider starting with What's Sewing On? 1 Intro to Sewing and Stitching. 
The class will be structured in an "I do, you do, we do" format with myself explaining and demonstrating the skills, observing and correcting each learner, and then revisiting each of the skills all together. Learners will be encouraged to be openly communicative with myself and their peers throughout class and to actively participate as they learn their new skills.

Please note: While supervision of your children is preferred, parents must stay off camera for the duration of the class
