課堂經歷
Students will review what autism is, what are some common signs that someone could be autistic, and what language to use (& avoid!) when describing someone who is autistic. We will discuss neurodiversity and most importantly- how to be a good friend and an ally to someone with a disability. This may be a friend, family member, neighbor- or anyone and everyone! We will learn through the use of a PowerPoint presentation, short video clips, and plenty of time for discussion and questions. There is no required prior knowledge, learners only need to come with an open mind and positive intentions!

Students will develop a basic understanding of autism, including appropriate terminology and develop confidence in their ability to be a good friend to someone with autism.
