This is an intro course into mushrooms and mycology. We will be briefly going over several areas that deal with mushrooms like: Ecology Sustainablity Edible mushrooms Nutritional benefits and potential medicinal benefits Mycoremediation Mycogardening Mushroom growing This course is meant to gauge their interest in the subject and if they wish to pursue additional courses like my Growing Mushrooms 101 class and more to come. There is no experience or background required. The learners will be writing up a brief document to show me what they learned. There is a flex mushroom class I have made as well.

Students will begin to understand the roles that mushrooms can play in our ecosystems and become interested in seeing how we can create solutions for modern problems with them.

We will be talking a little about death and sickness from eating the wrong mushrooms, but it will not be a major part of the course.

I started and ran a mushroom farm for over 4 years. In that time we were spoke at local, regional and national conferences. I have since moved on from the business, but educating people about mushrooms has always been the passion. I am excited to bring my hands on experience to my students. 評論
