Come learn how to read word families! This class is perfect for learners who can identify all or most of the alphabet letters and can match the sound to each letter. Each week, we will learn 1-2 simple sight words to build simple sentences with our sight word family. Learners will enjoy blending sounds and using mystery pictures to learn a new consonant- vowel- consonant (CVC) word family each week. Students will practice matching letters to sounds. Students will also begin to learn to blend cvc words, finding rhyming words, and gain more confidence as an emerging reader.
Bring blank paper and your favorite markers, crayons or colored pencils.
Parents may assist quietly off camera if needed. Learners may keep their microphones on if they are in a quiet setting. If there is background noise, conversations or computer interference (like echoes), I will mute as needed. Learners can un-mute when called on to share, and may need a parent to assist with turning microphone back on.
