In this weekly, ongoing class, students will hear a funny, exciting story and complete a fun activity based on the story. My classroom provides a super laidback environment for students to relax and enjoy themselves while also interacting with myself and other students. We have so much fun together and would love to have your learner join us! CLASS STRUCTURE ⭐ Welcome Chat ⭐ Story Time ⭐ Story Activity (word search/word scramble/comprehension game/drawing/craft) UPCOMING STORY SCHEDULE 📅 Week of January 8 - Scaredy Monster & the Mysterious Neighbor 📅 Week of January 15 - A House for a Mouse 📅 Week of January 22 - The Mousier the Merrier 📅 Week of January 29 - Students' Choice (group vote) 📅 Week of February 5 - Miss Moo Goes to the Beach 📅 Week of February 12 - Scaredy Monster Loses a Tooth 📅 Week of February 19 - Mice on Ice 📅 Week of February 26 - Students' Choice (group vote) CLASS RULES & EXPECTATIONS - Please be kind & respectful to Miss Mary, classmates, & yourself. - Please use appropriate language. - Please listen politely when Miss Mary or other classmates are speaking. 📬 Important Notes for Parents 📬 ► If your kiddo is having an especially bad day, please send me a message to let me know they need a little extra love that day. You don't have to give me any details, just a quick note. I'll keep an eye on them during class and try my best to turn their day around. ► All students are welcome in my classroom. Please let me know if any special accommodations are required for your child. ► We will not be having class Thanksgiving week, Christmas week, the week of April 1-5, Memorial Day, or Independence Day. We will be using a third-party tool called LUMIO Smart Suite for our lessons. I will be sharing a link to the stories so that the students and I can go through it together. All activities on LUMIO may only accessed during our live class as the link becomes inactive when I end the lesson. Students will not need an account of any kind to view our content on LUMIO. They will be asked to enter their first name so that I can track all progress/feedback from students during the class. No other information is requested or required.
