課堂經歷
Did you know that there are warm and cool colors? Warm colors often remind us of warm or hot things like fire where cool colors often remind us of cool or cold things like water. In this class, you will learn which colors are cool and which are warm by creating a warm sun and cool moon picture! We will start by drawing our warm sun and cool moon with crayons and creating patterns with different colors of crayons in and outside our moon and sun. After, we will watercolor our entire picture with warm and cool colors so that by the end of the class, you’ll not only have an amazing work of art, but you’ll also remember your warm and cool color schemes! It will be helpful for students to have an understanding of what their primary and secondary colors are. Please have all supplies ready to go at the start of class.
學習目標
Students will learn about warm and cool colors including what they are, how they can make us feel, and how they can change the mood of a painting. Students will also practice folding a piece of paper, tracing, and pattern making, which translates well out of the art world and into the math world!

供應清單
Let’s paint! You will need: -mixed media paper in 8.5x11” or 9x12” (I will be using 9x12) -a circular object to trace that is at least 6” in diameter (It should cover as much of the page as possible while still being inside the paper. A plate or plastic lid works well for this) -crayons, specifically black, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple. Other tints and shades of color wheel colors are welcome too! -watercolor pallet with ROYGBV, watercup, and brush (medium brush, not foam) *printer paper does not hold up well to watercolor and cardstock is not very absorbent, mixed media or watercolor paper works best
