CLASS EXPERIENCE: MINECRAFT BEDROCK EDITION. This edition can be played on PC, Android, and iOS. Nintendo Switch and other consoles can be used but it involves more work (please message me before class). We will NOT be using Minecraft Java Edition AGE RANGE: Basic knowledge of English and Computers will be highly beneficial. Prior experience with Minecraft is not required but beneficial. CLASS OVERVIEW: In this course we will learn about the History of War in the video game of Minecraft....
Over this course, we will be using Minecraft in each lesson. At the start of each class, students will be introduced to a new world within Minecraft. They will be guided through this world by me. Throughout our tour, we will learn about the people who lived and fought here. We will learn about different wars. To finish it off, we will do re-enactments as a team. History will come alive in the digital world of Minecraft. We will travel throughout time and around the World. Who are we? What comes next? “We are not makers of history. We are made by history”. This is History in the Making
I have been teaching for over 8 years now. I have taught many different subjects to many different students. I am a fully qualified teacher who specializes in teaching history. My Bachelor Degree is in History and I have taken multiple child protection courses.

No mandatory homework will be given. Optional challenges and additional reading will be provided for those that want to learn more. Minecraft gives students the opportunity to learn and explore History on their own.提供的評估

A Minecraft account (also known as Minecraft Bedrock Edition) must be purchased by the learner. Learners will receive access to the Minecraft server address to connect to. Minecraft Java Edition will NOT work. A pair of headphones and microphone are also needed.

Some of the topics being discussed will involve sensitive topics, such as religion and war. This course will provide multiple viewpoints and come from a neutral standpoint. History is not always positive and this course will reflect this. The class is designed for children and is suitable for all ages. Gamer tags will be required for this class. Please send me gamer tags over private message. Never share the gamer tag over the classroom chat. Messages in the classroom chat of this nature will be deleted. This is to insure protection of personal information.
Various primary and secondary sources will be used during this lesson to show differing views. Encyclopaedia Britannica will be on of the main secondary sources consulted.
