In this class we will learn about several violinists from the Baroque Era and their music. We will be discussing what the violins looked like at the time and how they where played. I will use a slide show with background information and stories about the violinists and we will listen some music by each of them. There will also be some discussion on qualities of baroque music and how these violinists influenced each other. Some of the violinists we will be discussing are: Corelli, Tartini, Locatelli, Geminiani, Vivaldi, Muffat and Biber No prior knowledge or experience is required.

I teach violin lessons and classes on various topics relating to music and performing in a baroque style. Being Suzuki Book 1 & 2 registered, I have experience teaching violin from the very beginning and have taught online through Outschool since May of 2020. In teaching music I hope to deepen people's understanding of music of various styles and give them the tools to understand and play music that will enrich their lives in the long term.
I have a Bachelor's of Music in Violin Performance from the University of North Texas and am currently working towards my Master's in Baroque Violin at Indiana University. When not teaching I regularly with professional period instrument ensembles including the Dallas Bach Society, Lumedia MusicWorks, Bloomington Bach Cantata Project and the Oklahoma Bach Choir.
In addition to my musical pursuits, I can speak German, am an avid home cook, and happen to be a triplet.評論
