In this course we will be covering several of the most common equine diseases.  As you can imagine this course could go on for a very long time describing all equine diseases.  I have started a list here of the most common (and most interesting) diseases that I have seen personally.  I will teach on these diseases and then rotate through them in 10 week cycles.

Week 1 (5/24/24)- Arthritis 
Week 2 (5/31/24)- Laminitis
Week 3 (6/7/24)- Cushings disease
Week 4 (6/14/24)- Upper respiratory infections
Weeks 5 (6/21/24)- Colic 
Week 6 (6/28/24)- Gastric and Hindgut Ulcers
Week 7 (7/5/24)- Pneumonia
Week 8 (7/12/24)- Heaves/ Asthma
Week 9 (7/19/24)- Squamous cell carcinoma
Week 10 (7/26/24)- Dental fractures/ open pulps 
Week 11 (8/2/24)-  

Class structure - 

2-5 minutes - Meet and Greet Dr Carner and classmates
30 minutes - Teaching from presentation (Shared Screen) +/- videos 
10 minutes - Questions and conversation on the material 

Students are encourage to ask questions and take part in conversations.
