This course will investigate scientific concepts relating to the care of animals and animal body systems. This one-semester course is intended for students to familiarize themselves with the knowledge and skills required for a career in the veterinary industry. TEACHER OFFICE HOURS- Monday- Thursday- 6:00a.m. CST- 9:00p.m. CST Friday- 6:00a.m. CST- 3:00p.m. CST Week 1- Dog Unit - Anatomy Week 2- Dog Unit continued.. - Clinical practices - Case studies Week 3- Cat Unit - Anatomy Week 4- Cat Unit continued.. - Clinical practices - Case studies Week 5- Cattle Unit - Anatomy Week 6- Cattle Unit continued.. - Clinical practices - Case studies Week 7- Horse Unit - Anatomy Week 8- Horse Unit continued - Clinical practices - Case studies Week 9- Goat and Sheep Unit - Anatomy Week 10- Goat and Sheep Unit continued.. - Clinical practices - Case studies Week 11- Pig Unit - Anatomy Week 12- Pig Unit Continued - Clinical practices - Case studies Students will be encouraged to interact with the teacher and other classmates. This course will be "Lecture style", and the teacher will ask questions through the lesson. There will be either verbal or online platform quizzes, weekly homework/activities, etc.
