This camp includes my most popular courses on Outschool to extend over a week of two-hour meetings with a break in the middle. All meetings will include a slide presentation, kahoot quiz, and student interaction. Readings are optional but enrich the learning experience. This camp provides an overview of significant historical events in U.S. History and also seeks to engage and even entertain Outschool students.
I am a former college instructor and have been teaching on outschool for over a year. I avoid sensationalism in the presentation of difficult or upsetting topics. I have taught student from 8 years old to college students, and I am a leader in local scout troop and have coached sports as well, so I have a range of experience with different learners.

The Lincoln assassination involves his death, and the last meeting involves a plot to steal his remains, but it not presented in an overly graphic way. Parents of sensitive learners should understand this ahead of time.
I will provide links for videos in the chat window and also a "To Learn More" slide after every class meeting to encourage the students to further learning.
