Join us for a captivating journey through the truthful and often dark events that have shaped our world’s history. This engaging summer camp is tailored for teenagers seeking to delve into the intriguing mysteries and untold stories from the past. Each week, we’ll explore a different fascinating topic, from the enigmatic history behind Disney to the most documented case of time travel. Get ready to uncover the truth behind the man from Taured, the mysterious dreams of Portland, Oregon, and the eerie occurrences in the Bermuda Triangle, among other intriguing subjects.

The class will come out in 13 topic increments throughout the year, students will not only learn about historical events but also actively participate in discussions, sharing their thoughts, opinions, and questions on each topic. With a dynamic teaching style, learners will be provided detailed, insights into each matter. From blind group role plays, realistic historical discussions and group activities, learners will have ample opportunities to interact with both the instructor and their peers to, really, absorb the history of the lesson at hand.

Topic Overview:

Each week, we will delve into a different fascinating learning objectives, exploring the enigmatic and lesser-known aspects of history. This interactive camp will include highly interactive discussions, blind group reenactments, historical discussions, and group activities to ensure an engaging and immersive learning experience. 

**Start of the 13 Spring Topics**

Week of March 24 - 28, 2025

Topic: The Dyatlov Pass Incident (1959)
Learning Objective:
Students will explore the mysterious deaths of nine hikers in Russia’s Ural Mountains and analyze documented evidence and theories (including natural, supernatural, and conspiracy-related) surrounding the incident.

Week of March 31 - April 4, 2025

Topic: The Case of the Sleepwalking Man in China (1987)
Learning Objective:
Students will investigate the bizarre case of a man from China who allegedly traveled long distances while sleepwalking. The man reportedly crossed rivers, traversed mountains, and reached distant towns without any memory of his journey upon waking. Students will examine medical records, eyewitness reports, and interviews with the man and his family to assess the legitimacy of this strange occurrence.

Week of April 7 - 11, 2025

Topic: The Mandela Effect: Collective False Memories (2009-present)
Learning Objective:
Students will explore the concept of the Mandela Effect, where large groups of people remember historical events or details differently from recorded facts. They will investigate famous examples, such as the belief that Nelson Mandela died in the 1980s, and discuss psychological theories about memory, alternate realities, and cultural influences.

Week of April 14 - 18, 2025

Topic: The Mothman of Point Pleasant (1966-1967)
Learning Objective:
Students will examine reports of the Mothman sightings in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, analyzing eyewitness testimony, local folklore, and scientific research. They will evaluate the potential explanations for these strange occurrences.

Week of April 21 - 25, 2025

Topic: The Salem Witch Trials (1692)
Learning Objective:
Students will study the Salem Witch Trials, reviewing court records, testimonies, and historical context. They will analyze whether the events stemmed from genuine belief in the supernatural or societal issues.

Week of April 28 - May 2, 2025

Topic: The Curse of King Tut’s Tomb (1922)
Learning Objective:
Students will explore the legend of the “curse” associated with the discovery of King Tutankhamun’s tomb, reviewing documented deaths, medical records, and historical accounts. They will assess whether these events were coincidental or supernatural.

Week of May 5 - 9, 2025

Topic: The Most Documented Case of Bigfoot: The Patterson-Gimlin Film (1967)
Learning Objective:
Students will analyze the famous Patterson-Gimlin film, which purports to capture footage of Bigfoot in Bluff Creek, California. They will review the video evidence, eyewitness accounts, and subsequent investigations to evaluate the authenticity of the film and its impact on Bigfoot research.

Week of May 12 - 16, 2025

Topic: The Tunguska Event (1908)
Learning Objective:
Students will examine the mysterious explosion in Tunguska, Siberia, using scientific data, eyewitness reports, and investigations conducted over the last century to explore possible explanations for this massive event.

Week of May 19 - 23, 2025

Topic: The Jersey Devil (1735-present)
Learning Objective:
Students will explore the legend of the Jersey Devil, reviewing historical sightings and analyzing modern reports. They will assess whether this creature is purely mythological or if there is a basis in reality for these strange encounters.

Week of May 26 - 30, 2025

Topic: Demonic Possession: The Case of Anneliese Michel (1975-1976)
Learning Objective:
Students will explore the controversial and tragic case of Anneliese Michel, a young woman in Germany who underwent a series of exorcisms. They will examine medical records, court testimonies, and religious perspectives to debate whether her condition was the result of mental illness or genuine demonic possession.

Week of June 2 - 6, 2025

Topic: The Dybbuk Box (2003)
Learning Objective:
Students will review the Dybbuk Box, a supposedly cursed object, analyzing documented events tied to its ownership and paranormal claims. They will explore whether these incidents could be explained by natural causes or superstition.

Week of June 9 - 13, 2025

Topic: Skinwalker Ranch (1996-present)
Learning Objective:
Students will explore Skinwalker Ranch, a hotspot for alleged UFO sightings, poltergeist activity, and cryptid encounters. They will review investigations conducted by the scientific community and paranormal researchers to evaluate the credibility of the claims.

Week of June 16 - 20, 2025

Topic: The Loch Ness Monster (1933-present)
Learning Objective:
Students will examine the legend of the Loch Ness Monster, analyzing eyewitness reports, photographs, sonar readings, and scientific research. They will debate whether Nessie is a myth, misidentification, or a yet-undiscovered creature.

**June 2 - June 6: A deep dive into Mel’s hole**
- **Objective**: Learn about the discovery of this phenomenal hole found on Mel’s property. After attempting to fill this hole for years with thousands of pounds of dirt, trash, waste and other materials, there seemed to be no end to the depths of this hole. The facts will be presented, the tests and results will blow anyone’s sane mind and we need to get to the bottom of Mel’s hole together… literally.

**June 9 - June 13: The Most Documented Case of Time Travel**
- **Objective**: Analyze the evidence and theories surrounding the most documented case of time travel.

**June 16 - June 20: The Man from Taured**
- **Objective**: Explore the story of the man from Taured and its implications on parallel universes.

**June 23 - June 27: The Mysterious Dreams of Portland, Oregon**
- **Objective**: Investigate the strange and prophetic dreams reported in Portland, Oregon.

**June 30 - July 3: The Bermuda Triangle**
- **Objective**: Examine the theories and mysteries surrounding the Bermuda Triangle.

**July 7 - July 11: The Lost City of Atlantis**
- **Objective**: Delve into the legend of Atlantis and its possible real-world locations.

**July 14 - July 18: The Roswell UFO Incident**
- **Objective**: Study the Roswell incident and its impact on UFO lore.

**July 21 - July 25: The Mystery of the Mary Celeste**
- **Objective**: Uncover the fate of the crew of the Mary Celeste.

**July 28 - August 1: The Secrets of Stonehenge**
- **Objective**: Explore the purpose and construction of Stonehenge.

**August 4 - August 8: The Voynich Manuscript**
- **Objective**: Analyze the cryptic Voynich Manuscript and its potential meanings.

**August 11 - August 15: The Disappearance of Amelia Earhart**
- **Objective**: Investigate the various theories behind Amelia Earhart's disappearance.

**August 18 - August 22: The Curse of the Pharaohs**
- **Objective**: Examine the legends and curses associated with Egyptian tombs.

**August 25 - August 29th: The Enigmatic History Behind Disney**
- **Objective**: Understand the origins and mysterious elements of Disney's history.




Each week, students will dive into these captivating topics, engaging in dynamic discussions, group activities, and interactive learning experiences. This class will not only ignite their curiosity but also develop their critical thinking and analytical skills. Get ready for an exciting journey through the mysteries of the past!


Throughout the class, we’ll explore these topics in depth, examining historical evidence, theories, and real-life accounts. Students will gain a deeper understanding of each subject matter and develop critical thinking skills through lively discussions and interactive activities.

Teaching Style:
My teaching approach combines informative lectures with multimedia presentations, stimulating discussions, and hands-on activities. I strive to create a supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to express their ideas and engage with the material actively.

Interactivity:
Learners will have ample opportunities to interact with both the instructor and their peers through various means, including intense and realistic discussions, group activities, multimedia presentations, and Q&A sessions. Each class session will be designed to foster engagement and collaboration, allowing students to learn from one another’s perspectives and experiences. Students will be broken into groups where they will be in breakout room so they will not know what the other group is doing. They will be given clues and resources to go looking for certain pieces of information.

Miss Kim
Miss Kim is a licensed teacher with several years of experience teaching middle and high school students. She holds teacher licensure in Science and Social Studies for secondary education. Throughout her teaching career, Miss Kim has designed and implemented engaging and interactive lessons that cater to diverse learning needs. She has a passion for integrating hands-on activities and real-world applications into her curriculum, making her classes both informative and exciting.

Miss Kim's expertise in Social Studies allows her to provide students with a deep understanding of historical events, mysteries, and untold stories. Her innovative teaching methods, including group discussions, reenactments, and interactive projects, ensure that students are actively engaged and encouraged to think critically about the topics they explore.

Miss China
Miss China is a highly qualified and experienced teacher with licensures in Math, Special Education, and English. She also holds certifications in TOEFL, TEFL, and Orton-Gillingham, making her exceptionally skilled in teaching students with diverse learning needs, including those with ADHD, Dyslexia, and English language learners.

With several years of experience teaching middle and high school students, Miss China has a proven track record of creating inclusive and adaptive learning environments. Her expertise in Math and English allows her to seamlessly integrate these subjects into the Entrepreneurship Pathway, ensuring that students receive a well-rounded education.

Miss China's approach to teaching emphasizes collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking. She utilizes a variety of teaching tools, including interactive apps and digital platforms, to create engaging and memorable learning experiences. Her commitment to personalized instruction ensures that each student receives the support and encouragement they need to succeed.

Teaching Experience
