OUR CLUB This hangout provides a safe space for TV series enthusiasts to discuss and critique all aspects of film. In our time together we will encourage a deeper understanding and appreciation of influential TV series, in all different genres through viewing and thoughtful discussion. Anyone with an interest for discussing TV series is welcome! Feel free to bring a snack, and a love of TV series. We watch one TV series per week. For example: 🍿 December 04 - Cobra Kai 🍿 December 11 - Emily in Paris 🍿 December 18 - Man vs Bee 🍿 January 08 - Outlast Students dissect each TV series with other fans in our weekly hangouts. Our discussion will include: 🍿 explore characters and character development 🍿 discover themes 🍿 analyse plot points 🍿 examine cinematic technology and art We will also strengthen skills that are crucial to essay writing and academic exploration. They'll learn to 🎥 Articulate a position on different films, AKA write a thesis statement. 🎥 Communicate their findings regarding the movie 🎥 Use concrete examples and evidence in support of their thesis or position 🎥 Find deeper meanings and make connections to other perspectives Together we will discover fun new movies and appreciate all of our old favourites.

We choose TV series appropriate for ages up to and including 18. Be sure to evaluate all TV series to determine which are appropriate for your children and your family. You can message me in advance for what series we are watching to determine if this is age-appropriate for your child.
