I am a certified teacher in the state of Texas. I have taught for more than eighteen years. During my time as a public school teacher, I was the ELA Department Chair for five years on my campus, on the district's curriculum and vertical writing teams. I was also a technology advocate. I was honored to earn Teacher of the Year at my school. I have taught ESL, gifted and talented, Advanced Placement, special education, and general education students. My philosophy has always been, "The child comes first."
