Thanksgiving is a time to be grateful and to have some fun! 

In this one time class we will be enjoying a story time from the book, "The Plump and Perky Turkey" and craft time by making our own plump turkey. As most people associate November and the holiday of Thanksgiving as a time to be grateful, learners will have time to discuss what they are grateful for.

After class, each learner will receive a special packet to enjoy for the rest of the Thanksgiving season (full of fun and educational materials, including crosswords, coloring pages, a game and more).

Our class structure will be similar to the following...

Short time for introductions, story time, discussion of what we are grateful for, craft time, and show and tell of our crafts! Learners will have a chance to gain perspective from others, use artistic expression, and have some fun!

*The craft will be comprised of materials that should be on hand, paper, paper plates, glue, construction paper, scissors, and the like, however, feathers, glitter, buttons... almost anything can adorn our turkey creations. I will post more in the classroom about the craft.
