In this one time class we will discuss your student's musical background and where they want to go on their musical journey. We will begin by talking about how the horn works, how to hold the horn, and how to make a sound on the instrument. After this we may move on to learning a few different beginning notes, such as C, D, E, F, and maybe G. If this section on the class goes well we may even begin to look at basic sheet music. This is a class for students with a desire to learn how to play the trumpet and understand music in general. This is NOT a playtime class. I am open to teaching younger students as long as they are respectful and ready to learn. Please make sure your learner is open to learning and taking instruction before enrolling in this class. We will have a lot of fun in this class, but there will also be a lot of work. Focus, concentration, and work ethic will be required.
