In this course, students will improve their trombone technique with live guidance and performance of proper technique; they can perform for and observe their classmates, which improves their own playing technique and their musical ear! Students will learn proficiency on their instrument, and can also prepare for auditions, such as those for All-State Band programs, if they choose to do so. In addition to the technical aspects of playing their instrument, students will also learn about the fundamental concepts of Western music and its interpretations, such as rhythm and pitch, timbre, structure, and historic influences.
I've been playing the trombone for 20 years, and I have a degree in music performance. I've taught music for about ten of those years, and I currently enjoy teaching in person at two schools!

In order to grow as musicians, it's vital that students practice at least three times a week, if not every day. A weekly lesson usually ends in assigning a short list of tasks for the week. Those tasks usually include: -practicing scales -practicing material from a method book -technical exercises -listening assignments In all, the assignment list should take about thirty minutes on its own (but more practice is always encouraged!)1 - 2 每週課外時間
