Did you know that Little Red Riding Hood, The Three Little Pigs, and many other fairy tales are known around the world? We'll explore different versions of everyone's favorite fairy tales and get a different perspective of each story told by different characters. Learners will read, well actually reread "Timeless Classic Fairy Tales From Around the World" and get a global perspective of each tale. Learners may already know the traditional fairy tale read by every young learner. They will read what they know to be the traditional fairy tale but from a different character's perspective and maybe even from another country. Experience "Timeless Classic Fairy Tales From Around the World" in this ongoing class. Learners can enroll at any time and experience different fairy tales all year long. Who doesn't like a good fairy tale? Experience so many different fairy tales, some familiar, some new. Travel around the world to different places and learn a different perspective from tales learners know. Learners' imaginations will be sparked and stretched, see the tales from a different point of view, think critically and express their own views and opinions of each fairy tale. Week of November 13th: Introductions, class format, open discussion of upcoming fairy tales Each fairy tale learners will explore: • history of the tale • plot & summary • discussion questions •writing prompts • vocabulary boosters Week of November 27th: 📚 The Three Little Pigs Week of December 4th: 📚 Little Red Riding Hood Week of December 11th: 📚 Goldilocks and the Three Bear Week of December 18th: 📚 Snow White Week of December 25th: 📚 Tom Thumb Week of January 1st 2024: 📚 Hansel and Gretel Additional fairy tales: 📚 The Frog Prince 📚 Rumplestiltskin 📚 Puss in Boots 📚 Cinderella 📚 Rapunzel 📚 Sleeping Beauty 📚 Hansel and Gretel 📚 Thumbelina 📚 The Gingerbread Man 📚 The Princess and the Pea 📚 The Emperor's New Clothes 📚 and more!

Hello, I'm Paula Reid and happy to meet you and be able to teach your child/ren. I've been in the education field all my life it seems, from helping my classmates finish their lessons when I was in second grade to becoming a teacher and then a Principal when I grew up. I've also been a business owner for my years. But I love teaching! I love children of all ages and I love seeing learners become the best that they can be . . . and it happens through great parenting, education and phenomenal teaching.
I have a BA in Psychology, an MA in Education, Special Education and post-graduate work in School Administration. I've taught learners from the ages of 4 to seniors in urban, rural USA, Africa and South America, as well as ESL classes to children and young adults in China and a few other countries. I've been an online teacher for almost seven years now and have enjoyed every moment.
My every day goal is to help people, to learn something new each day and teach something to someone; additionally to help students love learning, become life-long learners and develop a healthy, global view of our world.
I've traveled extensively around the world several times, meeting people, learning different cultures, swimming with crocodiles in Australia, camping in the outback with kangaroo rats jumping across my sleeping bag, having hidden lemurs jump from trees onto my shoulders stealing my bananas and scaring me in Madagascar! climbing the Birunga Volcano in Rwanda to observe mountain gorilla families, coming face-to-face with a huge brown bear in Alaska, riding camelback in the UAE, sleeping in a yurt and riding a reindeer in Outer Mongolia and staring a rare and poisonous snake in the face in Costa Rica.
I love life, traveling, reading, music, photography, theater, adventure and I'll love teaching your child.評論
