In this class, students will learn various strategies to solve three-digit subtraction problems requiring borrowing. Students will be given three-digit number problems and will be shown how to find the correct answer using various strategies. The class will be structured with the teacher engaging the students to participate in sharing their thoughts and ideas on subtraction and their answers to the subtraction problems. This class is hands-on, visual, and very interactive. Students will interact with the teacher and other students through discussion, problem solving, and throughout the lesson. The students should have prior experience with subtraction.

I have my Associates of Science in Office Information Systems, Bachelors of Science in Psychology, and Master of Education Degree (PK-8), and I have also been fortunate to work with students who were high schoolers, special needs, and homebound.
In my class, your student will use their prior knowledge, share ideas, participate through discussion to help develop their academic and social skills. I look forward to getting to know your student and learn how they learn to better support them in their success in school.
