This ongoing class is all about the learner! I am here to help with math and grammar and can find content for a specific area of need or assist in homework help. I offer personalized tutoring help so every learner, at all levels, are able to reach their academic goals. I will work closely with you before class to ensure a lesson that best meets the individual needs of your learner. Please share an area of focus and/or homework images 24 hours before class begins. This allows me to look over content and prepare material. Possible Areas of Focus (Math): Addition Subtraction Fractions Multiplication Division Decimals Place Value Understanding Possible Areas of Focus (Grammar): Standard Grammar and Punctuation Use Sentence Writing Sentence Fragments Commas Coordinating Conjunctions I have over 10 years of experience in the classroom and hold a Masters in Special Education and Bachelors in Elementary Education. Beyond the classroom I have taught ESL students in an online platform, taught summer school and was a behavior specialists. Currently, I am part of our schools instructional leadership team and positive behavioral support team. These experiences will allow me to bring a unique background into every lesson taught. Together we will help your child soar!

I am Teacher Jennifer, eagerly anticipating the opportunity to inspire and guide your learner on their educational journey. Armed with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education PreK-6 and a Master's degree in Special Education, alongside 12 years of teaching experience, I've passionately dedicated myself to nurturing young minds in both general and special education settings. With two years molding second graders and nine years shaping fifth graders, my expertise spans a wide spectrum, ensuring every student's unique needs are met.
Beyond the traditional classroom, I've expanded my horizons with a TEFL certification, enriching the lives of children worldwide through the art of English language instruction. Teaching isn't just a profession for me; it's my calling, my passion.
I provide a diverse range of educational classes encompassing grammar, reading, writing, word study, and comprehensive private tutoring across all subject areas. Additionally, I am deeply committed to instilling a growth mindset and offer specialized courses in this domain. Central to my teaching philosophy is the belief that every classroom should serve as a safe, nurturing environment where all learners feel empowered to express themselves and thrive. With seven half marathons under my belt and a penchant for the exhilarating, like my past skydiving adventure, I'm always seeking new thrills.
