We will read Atlantis The Legend of a Lost City together (you do not need a copy of the book) and learners will answer comprehension questions on the story using a fun flashcard game and learn about the ancient olympian Poseidon. Discussion and questions are very welcome in this interactive class. Learners will then get a chance to draw their favourite part of this exciting tale or what they imagine Atlantis would have looked like. Please bring paper and colour pens/pencils for the drawing component of the class. No prior knowledge needed. 20 mins: Read 10 mins: Flash card questions and discussion 10 mins: Draw your own Atlantis

My name is Maya and I graduated from the University of Oxford with a geography degree in 2013. Since then I have worked in the humanitarian sector for the British Red Cross and worked as a private tutor around the world. I am grateful that I can share my academic interests on Outschool and meet curious learners from around the world.
