課堂經歷
We will be reading the book I Can't Do That, Yet by Esther Pia Cordova. In this book Enna often says "I can't do that!" She learns the importance of a growth mindset and learns to say, "I can't do that yet!" We will discuss the importance of growth mindset after reading the story, then watch an inspirational quick kid talk about the power of yet. At the end we will be making I can't do that, yet signs to help them identify areas of challenge that they can work on to help them feel more successful. All resources will be shared through screen sharing. Students will need pencil, paper and coloring items for the end of class project.

Hi I have been teaching elementary school for 20 years. I have a love for teaching and my goal is to help students love to read and learn. Teaching kids to read if my favorite thing to do and I love watching kids go from beginning readers to fluent readers who don't want to put a book down.
I pride myself in helping scholars learn to have a growth mindset. Once scholars realize that mistakes are magical they will be more willing to try and learn from the mistakes they make.
