In each weekly class, we will talk about the subject being taught (see topics below), how students can express themselves through a story, and then write a short story. Learning Goal: We will learn what it takes to write a story and how a story can come alive through even just one character. Class Structure: We will use the first ten minutes to learn how to write a great story. We then use the next 20 minutes writing a story and then reading it. Students will learn how to be creative in their writing skills and proud of their work. We will look at what it takes to write a short story and then the students will write one and can read it in class or I can read it for them.
I have written short stories for children and performed and narrated stories. I have taught students for over thirty years from preschool to high school. I allow students to be creative and learn that every story counts.
