Students will need access to the book "The One and Only Ivan" by Katherine Applegate which can be obtained from the public library, as an ebook, or purchased.  
It is also recommended that students keep a reading response journal to record their reading reflections in.  This can simply be a notebook.  
Students will be provided with reading prompts each Sunday, as well.
