This Halloween alphabet adventure aims to give young learners a problem solving, collaborative adventure with their classmates. This class will give young learners a fun escape-room type experience, reinforcing their early phonics and reading skills as they undertake a fun adventure to solve the alphabet puzzles and unlock the mystery word! This lesson will take the students on a fun Halloween themed adventure, solving simple puzzles and finding important clues along the way. We will draw upon early phonics skills and also incorporate some basic numbers and colors throughout the journey. This lesson is aimed at students with a basic understanding of phonics sounds. If you feel your child needs a little support you are welcome to sit alongside them (offscreen) and support them. I will sometimes mute all of the students to give them an opportunity to think aloud as they solve the puzzle.
