Learners will gain a richer understanding of the mythology and the culture of the people who lived in Northern Europe/Scandinavia. Our questions will invite learners to use the myths to explore their own life too - their values, opinions and ideas.
I am a highly experienced primary school teacher, with an academic specialism in the teaching of mythology and poetry. My undergraduate study is in the field of the social sciences, with a focus on Social Anthropology, through which I engaged in the study of rite, ritual and myth. Teaching mythology, both through my Greek of the Week classes and in East London schools, has become my main job, and area of expertise.

Mythology is unavoidably dark in its themes, but as I have done with all of my Greek mythology classes, I make sure we tell the tales in a way that is age-appropriate. Any of the more graphic moments of the original source material are heavily sanitised with comedy, and no inappropriate themes are discussed.
