🔹The class is suitable for absolute beginners who have never opened Blender or any other 3D software as well as for students who have some experience and want to learn new skills (see details in “Class Content” section). 👩🏽‍💻
🔹All students will develop their visual communication, spatial intelligence and problem-solving skills while sharpening their artistic sense.🎨
🔹Students of all ages can enrol depending on their computer literacy and interest. 🤓

📢 RESIDENTS OF THE FLOATING ISLAND NEED YOUR HELP! 📢
The island’s single source of energy was extinguished overnight. Do you have what it takes to join the mission and resolve the energy crisis?  
 	o   Build new bridges to walk on uncharted islands 
 	o   Decipher the mystery lying within ancient ruins
 	o   Construct a multi-tiered structure.
 	o   And ultimately, restore energy to the floating landmass

 	✅ You are completely new to Blender 
              (watch the included intro video to learn navigation basics first)
 	✅ You’ve been exploring Blender on your own but want to learn some new skills 
              (i.e. extrusion, loop cuts, bevel, mesh painting, inset faces, light-emitting materials, etc.)
 	✅ You have some experience with 3D modeling but are now ready to develop your artistic sense

📅 CLASS CONTENT
Intro:   	SKILLS: Navigation; Moving, Rotating, Scaling objects
		Everything you need to get started (Optional)

Class 1:   SKILLS: Bezier curves, Bevel Geometry, Realistic Lighting View
		TASK: Build a bridge

Class 2: 	SKILLS: Modeling. Object Mode Tools: Bevel, Inset Faces, Loop Cut
		TASK: Create a stone lantern

Class 3: 	SKILLS: Development of a sense of composition and artistic vision. 
		TASK: Reconstruct an archaeological site

Class 4:  	SKILLS: Progression in modeling. Boolean Modifier, Mesh Editing, Extrusion. 
		TASK: Build a multi-leveled structure

Class 5:	SKILLS: Implementation of acquired skills to create the final project. Adding Color; Light-emitting material
		TASK: Adorn the temple and create surroundings

Blender 3D is a free, user-friendly software used to create animated films, visual effects, motion graphics, virtual reality and computer games. This is a perfect starting point in your exploration of the world of 3D Graphics. Understand the basic principles and discover your potential in this exciting field.
 
💻 COMPUTER SPECS
Blender 3D can run on any computer besides Chromebooks.
A mouse will facilitate commands and navigation.


👉 PARTICIPATION & COLLABORATION
There are no live meetings. Video lessons are posted in the classroom. Participants follow the step-by-step video instructions. If assignments are completed and uploaded, they will receive feedback from the teacher. Should questions arise, they can ask them in the classroom page. 
 
 
🙋🏽LEVEL/ABILITY
No prior experience in Blender is required. This class is geared towards absolute beginners who are curious to express their creativity through digital art. Basic computer literacy is expected: downloading and saving files, uploading files and messaging on the OS Classroom page. The course is also suitable for intermediate users who are interested in creating beautiful digital art!
 
⏰ SELF-PACED CLASS
There are no live meetings. All communication is done by messaging and sharing videos and files in the classroom. You will have access to videos and resources for 12 months from the date of purchase.
