This class is part two of a three part course, covering essays four through six of the Lost Tools of Writing curriculum. More than just a composition course, this class will teach students how to think using the five common topics of invention to explore their ideas using a formal process. Student will learn and practice how to generate ideas (invention), organize and outline their ideas (arrangement), and put pen to paper expressing those ideas (elocution). Students will learn to write persuasive essays utilizing the classical tools of invention, arrangement, and elocution.

Students will read a Fairy Tale for each essay (three total essays for the section, we spend three weeks on each essay). Each week, students will have approximately 2-4 hours of homework. Students will practice what was modeled in class using assignments in the Lost Tools of Writing Student Workbook.2 - 4 每週課外時間
