課堂經歷
Each class we will take some time to get to know one another and become comfortable. This is a club and our goal is to have a welcoming, accepting, safe space where students feel comfortable. We will then brainstorm possible characteristics of the characters learners are about to create. Once everyone feels ready, students will have class time to draw the characters. Any level of art expertise is FINE! This is not an art class--this is a creating class! Students can make their drawings as simple or as elaborate as they choose and will have an opportunity to share the final product with the class. Students can work on their artwork outside of class but it is not required. There should be sufficient time in class. Ms. Jackson draws, too :-) Note: Please bring paper and pencils, crayons, etc. of choice for drawing Week One: Mythical Creatures Week Two: Characters in your neighborhood Week Three: Characters with animal characteristics Week Four: Scary characters Week Five: Comedy characters Week Six: Hero and Villains

A widow who raised three 2E children on an acreage surrounded by animals, she believes creativity is key to authentic self-awareness. Jackson has 27 years teaching experience and 15 years directing experience. She currently teaches theatre and writing for Outschool and Young Scholars Academy.
