Welcome to the Arabic Phonics Club. A course that will boost the learning of Arabic letters' sounds. ( Fat'ha, Kasra and Damma)

This course will run for 9 weeks. We will meet once a week for 35 minutes as an estimate and we will receive two handouts. Workshop paper to be completed during class and a homework paper to be completed after class.

We will start each lesson with a circle time where each learner will introduce themselves in Arabic and share what they like.

Every week we will look at a set of letters, recap their shapes and engage in a group activity. We will then go over the three short sounds of each letter (Fat'ha, Kasra and Damma) and engage in another group activity.

We will also practice the sounds of letters using words vocabulary. Learners will associate each word with a letter sound; this will boost the learning of the 3 basic sounds and strengthen listening skills.

We will learn the sounding out method of up to 3 letter sounds. All learners will be encouraged to take part in sounding out individual letters as well as blending 2-3 letters with Fat'ha sounds. 


Towards the end of each class; we will engage in a fun activity based on our weekly theme to help boost the learning of new vocabulary.

This class will be delivered in English.
