In this 45 minute course, students will be introduced to the concepts of both tangrams and isosceles triangles. A brief lesson on how to divide squares into different triangles will be provided. Students will then be provided with a template for creating their own puzzles. Students will draw and create their own creatures on the template worksheet. Students will be provided with a PDF of the worksheet prior to class. Learners will need a pencil, colored pencils or markers, and scissors. I recommend putting their puzzle pieces in a plastic ziplock at the end of the lesson.
